Keynote Speaker

Kristin Song, President of the Ethan Miller Song Foundation

Kristin Miller Song, Esq.

President of the Ethan Miller Song Foundation

Kristin Song lives in Connecticut with her husband, Mike. She has three children Emily, Evan, and Ethan. She became a gun safety activist after her 15-year-old son Ethan was killed with an unsecured gun in his best friend's house. When she learned the negligent gun owner would not be charged, but his 14-year-old son would be charged with manslaughter, Kristin was determined to strengthen Connecticut's child access prevention law to put responsibility on gun owners instead of children.

Learn More

As a result, Ethan's Law, which requires all guns to be secured if a child or unauthorized person can gain access, was passed with overwhelming bipartisan support in Connecticut. And in 2022, Ethan's Law was passed in the U.S. House of Representatives as part of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.

Kristin and her husband founded The Ethan Miller Song Foundation (SongStrong) to raise money to support causes that keep kids safe, honor our veterans and rescue neglected animals, all things close to Ethan's heart. Kristin continues to lobby in D.C. and nationwide for safe gun storage legislation. She is unwilling to give up, too many children’s lives are at stake.
