Tabatha RosproyTabatha Rosproy, 2020 National Teacher of the Year and two-time Kansas Teacher of the Year, currently serves on the National ϳԹBoard of Directors. Rospory is a career early childhood educator with over 12 years of experience working in head-start, center-based, home-based and public early childhood education. She is known for helping create the Winfield Early Learning Education Center (WELC), a unique preschool program housed in a retirement community and nursing home, where students interact with community residents who serve as volunteer “grandmas” and “grandpas.”

Rosproy has served as co-president of Winfield National Education Association and is also active at the state level with the Kansas National Education Association. She is a member of the Cowley County Special Services Cooperative Early Childhood Academy Team, which supports positive behavior interventions for early childhood teachers in her county. She holds a bachelor of arts in unified early childhood education, including special education and typically developing students, from Southwestern College and is near completion of her master of science in education (English as a secondary or other language) at Fort Hays State University. Rosproy lives in Winfield, Kan., with her husband Tim and their cats.
