Gauri Binup serves as a youth representative on the National PTA's Board of Directors. Involved in the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøfrom a young age, she moved from competing in the Reflections contest to eventually becoming the Arts in Education Chair for Lebanon Trail High School's board. Now, through her current work on the Resolutions committee, Binup hopes to amplify the voice of the youth, and to share the joys of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøcommunity with as many students as possible.
In her own academic life, Binup is an undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in International Relations & Global Studies and the Plan II Honors Program. As part of her extracurricular activities, she's become a UNICEF Chair for Central Texas Model United Nations, a tutor for the Teaching Refugees to Understand English program, and a member of the community service-oriented Walker Fellowship. She also serves as the Outreach Director for The Source of Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to public wellness and education.
Binup has long been dedicated to the cause of community advocacy, especially when it comes to supporting the youth, which is why she's excited to be a part of the National PTA's mission. When she isn’t connecting with others who are just as passionate about service, Gauri enjoys playing the viola, publishing poetry and learning languages.
