Mindy Haas has been an active volunteer in ϳԹfor over 30 years and currently serves as a member of the National ϳԹBoard of Directors. She also serves on the Strategic Vision and Convention Arrangements committees. Haas is a past state president for Florida ϳԹ(2014-2016) and current member of Kentucky PTA. She uses her vast experience with nonprofit management to support her community and PTA.
Haas was successful in developing Florida PTA’s first statewide event, “ϳԹDay in the Park” and reinvented the Florida ϳԹLegislation Education Conference held at the state capital during the state legislative session which is still happening today.
Haas began the Health and Wellness initiative with the Florida PTA, and soon the message began to resonate across the state. She was selected as the Volunteer Coordinator for the 2011 National ϳԹConvention. In addition, Haas has developed programs that address bullying and help raise awareness of the childhood obesity crisis. She continues to advocate for children in her personal and professional career.
She lives in Lexington, Ky. and is the executive director for the Jewish Federation of the Bluegrass along with serving as a county commissioner for the Human Rights Commission.
